  1. I found you discussion of the choice of Pinchus to be the Mashuach Milchama to be very thoughtful. He does seem to be uniquely suit for that role, given his demonstrated commitment. But the suggestion he became the Cohen Gadol, seems unlikely. A Cohen who killed 2 human beings, would be invalid under Halacha, from the position of Cohen Gadol.
